Happy Easter

Although we have long weekends every weekend because our school schedule is so awesome, it feels different this weekend. Maybe because next weekend I won’t be returning to school? Or because I had a paid holiday on Friday? Either way, having this weekend off and getting to eat delicious food is nice. I hope the Easter Bunny treated everyone nicely this year.

Interview

I’m beginning to calm down and feel more prepared. I am now officially entering the ‘real world’, initiated with my very first interview. It went so well. It was an interview for another internship after our first internship. But for three months, paid, and in Toronto at an agency. It was such a great experience and I feel really good about it. Although my competition may have had more practical experience, she was really impressed with the interview and gave great advice.

This makes me feel so much better about the job search, it was not intimidating- this post grad has really prepared us and we should all feel confident about getting a job.

Also, thanks so much to everyone that came out last week. The night couldn’t have been better and I cant believe this is our last week together.

Apprehension

We have one more week. I am feeling so much apprehension about starting my career, and find myself thinking about how I can prolong this stage. I have started the job search and I am truly excited about finding my niche in the world of PR, so what is it I am so scared of? And who else feels this way?I think it’s a mix of thoughts and feelings. I’m used to this life as a student, and its very comfortable. I enjoy my summers of making as much money as possible, taking time off for vacations I cannot afford, and enjoying the four months off before school. Now, it’s no longer a four month long career.

The countdown begins until we are finally finished. I know we are all feeling a mix of emotions – happy its finally over, but nervous to embark on our careers. For many, this is going to be our last time in school, EVER! Being one of those students, I am looking forward to the end. …I bet I’ll be updating this blog in two years back in school.
